Enter BBC Wildlife's nature writing competition

Think you're a budding nature writer? Then this competition is for you - and we've got a great prize for the winner. You could win a trip on an Earthwatch research expedition, and the winning entry will be published in BBC Wildlife Magazine and on loveearth.com.

The winner will choose a place on one of three Earthwatch expeditions (flights included), each providing the chance to carry out genuine conservation work. The choice is a trip to monitor dolphins OR a trip to survey butterflies in Vietnam OR a visit to assess rare brown hyenas in South Africa. Read full details about the prize, the judges, and tips on how to win.

Please note:

You must be aged 18 or over as of 1 January 2008. You can be a published writer, but the essay you submit must be original, must be your own work and must never have been published before, either in print or on the internet. The winner will be selected by a panel of four judges. The closing date for entries is 30 April 2008. Please read the terms and conditions, before you enter.
